Other plants

At BOTALYS, we explore the treasures of nature, connecting with what is potent and pure in plants. We may have begun with ginseng but our botanical journey doesn’t end there. In fact, it never ends. That’s why BOTALYS has invested in vertical farms devoted to researching many cultivars – selectively bred plants – to meet BOTALYS purity, nutritive and environmental standards.

Current cultivar research includes:

Rhodiola rosea

Rhodiola rosea is a well known tonic and adaptogen. Vikings, Chinese emperors, Russian cosmonauts and athletes have all benefited from its capacity to improve endurance, energy and general wellbeing.

Ocimum basilicum

Basil is an ancient plant loved the world over as a cooking herb, but it also possesses anti-ageing, anti-inflammation and other health benefits.

Salvia miltiorriza

Red sage or Danshen has been used for 1000s of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It’s been linked to menopausal, blood sugar, cognitive and cholesterol benefits.

Scutellaria baicalensis

Baikal, or Chinese skullcap, is another staple in the Traditional Chinese Medicine cabinet. Key compounds include Baicalein and Oroxylin A. Often used to aid those with anxiety, convulsions, fever and gastro conditions.
